Positive Pregnancy Test After Miscarriage: What Does It Mean?

If a miscarriage occurs and a pregnancy test is taken the next day would it still show that you are pregnant?

Sometimes yes there can be a positive test. I am not medically trained, and I am not completely sure of the facts, but I think it depends what stage the miscarriage is at for the pregnancy test to read positive. If the test was being done via blood test it would show a decline in the hormone level, until the levels were 0 again. Once the pregnancy hormones start to drop then a home pregnancy test will no longer trace a positive result. Home pregnancy tests can only detect a pregnacy once the hormone level rises to a certain level, hence why many wont work until 2-4 weeks, and for some its longer. It works the same in reverse, if the lady has been having a miscarriage for 1-2 days it is possible the hormone levels will drop too low to get a positive reading (particulary in an early miscarriage).
