Exercise During Miscarriage Waiting Period: What You Need to Know

Hello.  My doctors think after 2 sonograms that I am going to miscarry.  They saw only a sac with no fetal pole at both appointments.  I workout 2 days a week with a trainer, mostly cross-fit training.  Am I ok to go back to what I was doing before the pregnancy?

Exercise is not related to whether or not you will miscarry your pregnancy. While you are in this uncertain time, take your OBGYN's advice on physical activity. If you do miscarry, then you will be able to resume your normal exercise loads in two to three weeks, if you have no complications.

Miscarriage can be a traumatic, grief causing event. Many women find that going to a support group for pregnancy loss can help them process the event and get their lives back on track afterward.
