QuestionHi Helene,
I have been doing your bounce back fast dvd consistently for a few weeks now. how long do you think it will take for me to see some outer results? when i look at the picture of Janna on your site, my tummy looks just like hers. her story inspires me and i can't wait to see results. fyi...i've had 5 kids, 4 of them in under 6 years and have lost all my excess weight, yet still look pregnant, like Janna did.
i love your program and am thankful for finding out about you!

AnswerThe key for success is to build adequate strength in your Trasnverse Abdominis, or TvA, and then to train the muscle to function properly as a stabilizer. The TvA is isolated and strengthened in the Belly Lacing exercise. So on days when you can't fit in a complete workout, try to find 5 minutes to do several sets of this one exercise.
Then you need to focus on the Belly Scooping exercise. Spend as much time as you need to train your abdominal wall to make this deeply concave shape. These two exercises form the technical basis for the rest of the program.
When you are doing the exercises that require you to maintain the belly scooped position, make sure that you work in a range of motion that you can control and that you NEVER allow the belly to bulge outward.
Most women find that after they get good at doing the basic moves, that exercises like "Toe Taps" get a lot more challenging. If you don't feel your core being challenged, then most likely you are either not maintaining complete stability in your pelvis/lower back, and/or that your tummy has lost the belly scoop.
