Answer
Dear Rajabi,

First, I want to make sure you know I am not "Dr. Johnson" as you addressed to question to. I am a Registered Nurse in the US, offering assistance to people with questions in the area of pregnancy related issues. As to your question, I'm not sure which issue is concerning you - the elevator or the altitude. However, I will address both for you. Pregnant women ride elevators in high-rise business or apartment buildings daily without any problems at all, so that wouldn't be an area of concern. Pregnant women also fly to elevations of several thousand feet and are fine, so that would not be an issue. As long as she has not had any complications during her pregnancy, such as pre-eclampsia or high blood pressure, or episodes of vaginal bleeding, or early onset of labor/cervical dilation, etc,... there should not be any concerns with this activity. However, if you would like to make certain of this, as with all unusual activities during pregnancy, please check with her OB doctor - especially since she is nearing the end of her pregnancy.

I hope this has helped you and answered your question. I wish you well.
