QuestionAfter my D&C last May 2006 (due to blighted ovum), I was detected to have a 8mm endometrial polyps in my uterus.
At 37-years, I still do not have a child, and been trying to have one. I'm afraid to have my polyps remove because I am scared that this might cause infertility in the future.
My question is, Is it safe to get pregnant even if I have a polyps?
Please advise.
Thank you.

AnswerDear Len,
This is actually a better question for your doctor, who knows more about the specifics of your particular case.
Just from the very, very little information I have, I'd say it would not be UNsafe for you to get pregnant with the polyps. But I have no way of knowing the extent of the problem or what your other health issues may be.
This truly does warrant a discussion with your doctor. If he/she is any kind of doctor, he will be happy to go over the risks and benefits with you to assist you in making the best informed decision possible. And if you are still not completely sure, don't hesitate to get a 2nd opinion from a specialist.
I'm sorry I couldn't give you a more firm yes or no answer. I wish you well and good luck!
