Alcohol & Drug Screening Tests: Will a Few Beers Impact Results?

Samantha, just a quick question...Will a couple of beers the night before a "a drug and controlled substance screening test" cause the "failing" of that test?

Tom thanks for your question, I'd be happy to try and give you a good answer.  I don't think a couple of beers would have caused a failing of the test.  A drug and controlled substance screening test, to me, would be looking for drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin, etc.  Unless they're looking for alcohol.  Was the test similar to a breathlyzer or a urine test?  I know most companies commonly (and randomly) test their employees for alcohol abuse during work hours, and that would be a breath test.  Even so a couple of beers the night before would lead to a small amount of alcohol the next day and that may not be enough to pick up on the test.  I hope I've answered your question somewhat.  Take care!
