Abnormal Pap Smear & Pain: Possible Causes & Relief

I just want to know if having pre-cancerous cell can cause you pain. On some days i wake up and i am in so much pain i can barely move. I have pains shooting through my kidneys and my abdomen. I went to the ER and they could not find what is wrong with me and i just wanted to know if that could be the cause of it.

Hi Ashley,

Having precancerous cervical lesions should not cause the pain you are describing. Women with dysplasia may feel pain during sex, but even that is not very common.

I would suggest going to your regular family doctor where more tests can be done and you can be closely monitored. You may want to consider keeping an activity/food journal to see if anything may be triggering the pain.
