QuestionHello,
I am trying to find out what my hiccup like involuntary responses are that occur several times a day. They are sort of like a hiccup except they seem to occur through my nose and I breath in hard (enough to make a sound) and it is out of my control. It only happens in single instances but that the best way for me to explain it. I guess it could be explained as a hiccup through the nose, but it doesn't feel exactly like a hiccup.
Thanks for info info that you can provide.
AnswerCould simply be a mild spasm in your diaphragm. Hiccups are similar. Depending on your age and other medical issues, as well as how long this was going on, would dictate how much I would worry. The longer it's gone on (i.e. years) the less concerned I would be.
There are some medications that can treat hiccups, and probably your symptoms, but they may be worse than the symptoms!
