Ear Drum Hole & Persistent Mucus: Potential Connection & Relief

About six years ago,i had a hole in my eardrum very painful.went to DR.gave me ear drops. went for follow up,said it had closed up itself.but after that i started caughing,and spitting up clogs and clogs ofyellow and green mucus.every morning from then till now.im so clogged up i choke ,i have to carry paper towels with me every where i go.never know when i have to choke up this stuff.its so embaresing. every morning never fails. i dont know if it was from the ear or not sometimes when i eat.some food will go to my nose.i have to blow it out.Ihope you can help me

Hi Gay Lynn,
Probably not from your ear. This sounds like Sinus infection with drainage.
It might not be a bad idea to get on some antibiotics for a couple of weeks (it takes at least 2 weeks for antibiotics to get into the Sinuses to do their job).
