Why does my boyfriend's left ear have a terrible odor? the right one is fine...

people can have a chronic infection, often from an infected oil gland... I would first try some antibiotic ear drops like floxin or corticosporin for a week... if that doesn't work, then an oral antibiotic.... he will have to see a doctor for these, but there is an excellent chance that this can be fixed for good....
