Understanding Low White Blood Cell Counts: Causes & What to Do

Last year my son was told by his dr. that his white blood cell count was low. The dr. did not say why nor did he offer any treatment. Could you tell me why his white blood cell count would be low? This has me very worried/ Thank-you ANDREA

that could mean his immune sytem could be suppressed. Ask the doctor why it is suppressed and he/she does not have an answer ask to see a blood specialist, Hematologist.
