Epididimytis is an inflammation of the epididymis which are tubes that are located behind each testicle.  Depending on the age of the male, the cause can be bacterial infections, such as std, enlarged prostate, usually in older men or following a procedure, such as cystoscope. It can also be caused by straining caused by heavy lifting.  It is very important to have the cause diagnosed and treated.
