Persistent Child Eczema: Exploring Alternative Causes & Solutions
QuestionMy 7 yr old daughter was diagnosed with eczema at 6mths old and we have tried every medicine and every remedy and nothing seems to work. She gets fever blister infection at least twice a year and it extends to her whole body from head to toe. We have had allergy test done all was negative no allergys. She has recently started getting bad headaches at least once a day. She always get what ever illness comes in her path. I was wondering could this be something other than eczema and is there a recommendation on a doctor? We have tried pediatrician, allergist , dermatologist no good results....
Answereczema should not cause fever or headaches, simply skin rashes... if these are occurring, then something else in addition to eczema is occuring... i am sure you already tried elidel and steroid creams. I would encourage your pediatrician to consult more dermatology and possibly rheumatology at this point, possibly at a regional referral center, since this appears to be a much more complicated situation than simply a rash.
Hope this helps...
