QuestionHere is a sample problem I have and was wondering if you could answer it...
You notice a swelling all over your body; also your stools are a little looser and clay-colored. When you go to teh doctor, they test your blood to see if any of the hematrocrits or components of the plasma are out of line... What will they probably find> What is probably not working correctly and how is that causing the symptoms you are experiencing?
Thanks! Please respond as soon as possible!!!
AnswerHi Leah,
Typically, generalized swelling is from fluid retention. This can be caused by a number of medical problems.
Clay colored stool usually indicate liver and or gall bladder disease.
Labs done for this problem may show elevated liver function tests and possible signs of renal disease.
This is a complex problem and deserves a careful and thorough work up.
