QuestionWhat causes oral medicines to pass through the body without dissolving? There are 2 of my perscribed meds that I found in my stool that are still able to be identified. What can cause this? I have also had some severe cramps/pains (not menstruel) in my lower abdominal area, could this be the cause/result of the (very painful)discomfort?
AnswerDear K,
This is something that really needs to be discussed with your physician. I don't know what the medications are that you are finding in your stool, but they may be intact, or they may be the shell. But, if you are having lower abdominal pain, and you are passing your medications, you need to seek treatment from your physician.
There are so many things that can cause your pain, and again, I don't know what medications you are talking about. Please contact your physician as soon as possible, since you described the pain as being severe.
Best wishes to you,
Andrea
