QuestionMy main complaint is tiredness, mostly in my thighs going up to the hip joint, especially when going uphill or up stairs. Usually okay in the morning or after a nap. Gets worse as day progresses. Has been going on for several years & seems to be slowly getting worse. Only time I don't notice it is playing tennis.
I am an 86-year-old man in good health, no history of heart problems. Quite active, mostly sleep okay, usually take 30-minute nap in afternoon. Play tennis regularly, walk, go to gym 2x week. Artificial knee joint, right leg.
Have consulted internist, cardiologist, orthopedist. Medical tests all normal. No doctor has any ideas except aging process. I take following drugs daily: felodipine, atenolol, crestor, folgard, valsartan, lo-dose aspirin.
Do you have any suggestions for what can be done?
Thanks for your help.
AnswerGod Bless You ...you sound like you are doing all the right things!!!
It may be a circulatory problem and you may want to consult with a vascular doctor. Have they performed any ultrasounds or Doppler studies on your legs? You did not say what medical tests have been performed.
Keep up the good work, you sound amazing!
