Wrist Pain After a Fall: What to Expect & When to Seek Medical Attention

Hello Diane,
This is not another question but my computer had a problem so your answer disappeared before I could thank you for your answer. I will go to a specialist as soon as possible, even if this means that I need to go to another doctor for the referral. Unfortunately the waiting time for an appointment is very long in our area (Manitoba, Canada). Would it be bad if I have to wait 6 weeks? After all I don't want to make things worse.

Sorry to hear about your computer problems........they are a pain.

Unfortunately waiting 6 weeks maybe a problem if it is a fracture.  By that time the fracture probably would heal.  Hopefully it heals properly.  If it is a tendonitis it may even improve by that time.

Maybe you can explain the situation and they can get you in before that.
