Uterus Rupture After C-Section: Risks & Precautions
QuestionAfter my second c section my Doctor told me I shouldn't have anymore children. I am now pregnant and after reading your answer to Katrina I'm a little scared. I wanted to know if my uterus can rapture before the 36 week and will I have to be on bed rest at anytime.
AnswerDear Condy
Women with previous 2 Cesareans should be cautious whenever they feel abdominal pain after 32 weeks and seek medical advice as a precaution. Rupture uterus can occur and its incidence may increase in some situations; for instance, if the baby's position is abnormal, a transverse lie or a baby coming down by its breech.
You have to keep your antenatal care appointments with your obstetrician and be careful to report any abnormal signs such as pain or bleeding.
Good Luck
