Flesh-Eating Bacteria in Schools: Prevention & Safety Guide

Question
I just received a report of 3 students in our school system developing infections with the flesh eating bacteria. I am very concerned as a parent of a high school student. What preventative measures should the school, staff, and students take? Thanks for any information regarding this.

Answer
hard to prevent.... that means a more virulent (aggressive) bacteria is present.... using a good anti-bacterial soap daily, like Dial, and looking at the skin and if there is any indication of a boil, or hair follicle infection or any other signs of infection- pus, redness, swelling---- then get seen by a doctor, hopefully have a culture and start a broad spectrum antibiotic like Augmentin or Levaquin or Avelox........  hope this helps......
