Excessive Wait Times at Doctor's Offices: Why Does It Happen?

Not to come off as a jerk or anything, but it seems just about all medical doctors make patience wait for a very long time to see them. I took my mother to see the doctor today as we were scheduled at 11am, and we didn't get in until 45 minutes later. Now my dentist never keeps people waiting, and often finishes up early with each patient. Would you say most M.Ds. feel compelled to gain more patience than they can realistically take care of?

Not really, your dentist may have techs who process the patients except for a small dentist part of the work, their model works well that way,
The medical model only pays for the doctors time and work so most are not staffed to move you along like a dentist
