Understanding Diarrhea After Meals: Causes and Solutions

Question
I have a bit of an odd question.

The last few months, trying to lose weight, I've been on a diet that has primarily included chicken as the source of meat-based protein. On the weekends, though, I've been eating essentially whatever I want. Over the last 3-4 weeks, though, I've started developing very watery diarrhea with mild to moderate cramping within half an hour to an hour after eating out on Saturday nights. Some of these times have been following a short period of fasting (1-2 days only). There doesn't seem to be any pattern of the food - twice I ate beef, though one time was following a meal of chicken, and I could actually see whole pieces of the green salad that preceeded the meal. There has been no pattern with the restaurants - a different one each time. I normally have no digestive issues of any kind, have no food allergies, and have not been ill. Could it have been the periods of fasting that have led to this problem? Could it possibly be a reaction to eating beef after being on a diet primarily of chicken and fish as meat sources? Any input would be helpful. It's getting embarassing to have to disappear to the bathroom for 20 minutes after eating.

Answer
that is kinda interesting.... I would not blame it on protein source changes.... more likely some other food intolerance.... maybe milk/cheese/butter?  or some higher sugar load.

If you can't pin that down, I would try to stay on the diet for 3 weeks straight and see if the diarrhea does not re-occur.... if that is the case, then it is definitely something you are adding in on your "whatever I want" weekends.... I hope this helps.
