QuestionDr.
I am 55.
Not obese but overweight.
My last medical turned up no issues.
I have always had a sensitive stomach( I take ginger on a daily basis) but my main problem is bloating and indigestion after meals. Not large meals just your average size meal that an average person would have no trouble digesting.
For instance the occasional trip to a buffet restaurant or a holiday 'feast' leaves me drained of energy for the rest of the day.
I tend to eat small meals consisting of soup, sandwhiches, salads, rice and chicken, small easily digestible meals for me.
I have been like this most of my life but it has gotten worse lately. We cant go out for supper anymore because I just cant handle it.
Is there a name for this condition?
Do you have any recomendations?
I have reduced the red meat and fats which has helped.
Thanks for your thoughts!

3. Irritable bowel disease
you need a workup including blood tests and endoscopy. consult a gastroenterologist
befor that you may try reduding water intake before, during and after meals as much as you can for 1 hour prior and post meal.
