Persistent Abdominal Discomfort & Potential Causes

Question

I am having and or had a strange feeling in my abdomen for the last 6 months or longer.  It's almost like it itches inside.  If i press in on my abdomen pretty far it feels better for a bit.  But I am having to do this a lot now.  It isn't painful which I am thankful for but very annoying.  Not sure if it's related but I have a lot of back problems.  I have herniations at L4, L5, and S1.  I have bad degenerative disc disease and thoracic bone spurs.  I have also had a lot of UTI's that seem not to ever go away.  So I was kind of thinking that it was my bladder area that is causing this strange feeling?  I am starting to worry and cant seem to find any answers.  I have no Insurance so unless it might be a serious issue I am on my own.  Thanks for any help you can offer me.

Hi Lori. Thank you for posting your question. Sorry, but I'm not at all sure here. A feeling like an itch inside is more likely to do with your recurring UTI than it has to do with your degenerative spinal disease. As a minimum collect a midstream urine for C&S and drink lots of cranberry juice. If this is negative then you will need to see a doctor. Good luck.
