QuestionI appreciate your time. I don't have a clue what expertise this would go to. I am a 42 yr. f. I do have multiple health issue. I have a pacemaker, take coumadin, aldactone, lasix, zaroxalyn, paxil, prevacid, potassium, boniva, advair.
I have an issue that happens every so often, sometimes a few days in a row, where I SUDDENLY start feeling very sleepy, then can hardly lift a finger. Extremely weak and an odd abdominal feeling. Not pain, just uncomfortable. Very scarey. It lasts about an hr. then I start losing the abdominal feeling and the intense weekness. I remain tired, but that doesn't feel abnormal. It is clearly not normal, and I havent a clue what it could be. It is a terrible feeling. Today I was driving, and it was a nightmare just to get home.
Have you ever heard of such a thing? I couldn't guess what speciality to direct this to. Frankly, I am nervous about bringing it to my primary, as I am sick of tests.
Any ideas? Probably not, right.
Just wanted to try. Thank you so very much for your time!
AnswerYour primary physician should be an internal medicine specialist. your secondary doctor should be a cardiologist. Get your blood sugar measured (HbA1c level is the best). Also get your blood pressure mesured in the evenings for three seperate occasions three days apart. Also get INR level done every 15 days. it should be between 2 and 3.5 - neither below nor above.
