Finding the Right Specialist for Persistent Body Odor - A Medical Approach

Question
Hi again,

I stopped eating gluten (90% anyway), and I've tried
all types of strange diets (fruits, vegs, etc etc etc).
I'd like to further my exploration inside the research
medical arena (..I live very close to a regional teaching
medical school..).   What type of specialist should I try
to make contact with?  I've tried GI docs, GP's, and
dermatologists before.. I'm guessing internal medicine?
Get my liver+pancreas+kidneys tested?

Thanks again,

Hi Doc,

Background:
* Male, 32, 6'4"+, 220, fit/trim, little
 alcohol,no drugs, occasional cigar
* I have IBS (constipation, since puberty..32 now)
* My skin is very sensitive .. small eczema
outbreak patches on my hands..skin peels,
 red welts, oozes
* BO, especially after I eat
* Diabetes checked by Doc => no diabetes

I've been looking for ways to control my BO,
and I've found Pseudoephedrine/Sudafed really
does the trick.  I can stink one minute, take
a sudafed, then smell fine 15 minutes later.

Any thoughts/ideas/directions on why/how this
is working?  What's the long term impact of
sudafed use? I've long suspected my BO and IBS-C
were related .. a mucous membrane issue.  Crazy
hypothesis?  Where should I/can I go from here?

Answer -
Yes, the pseudophed simply stops sweating but long term is not good for your BP or heart.
Best approach is to stop gluten and omega 6 oils in your diet completely. see: www.nih.gov and search for celiac

Answer
An internist or family physician can do the workup.

These symptoms and problems usually due to too much plant oil (omega 6) in the diet which can be improved by decreasing the plant cooking oils and gluten containing foods which are made with plant oils, adding B-50 before each meal with 2000 mg of omega 3, magnesium oxide and calcium carbonate with Vit D if OK with your doctor to remove all your symptoms in 90 days.
