QuestionHi
For 2 years now i have been having inestigations into kidney/bladder pain a few UTIs that were hard to shake off and a general feeling of "not being me" all that tests have shown is a red bladder wall ( could be IC) i have a smaller rt kidney and scar tissue? Of late my periods have been heavier and more painful i have sickness with the pain to the point were i cannot function and have to lie down till i feel better! i am so depressed and have been told to take prozac which i havent taken as i know i am depressed due to feeling poorly and no other reasons! i am now due to see a gyne in Oct! horrah at last i think this is due to the urologist finally realizing that it could be hormones related! i cannot have sex with my hubby without beig really poorly afterwards!i feel like i have an infection but without the infection? just very bloated and sicky and sore! I remember to this day the initial pain i felt "A sharp stabbing, dragging pain " almost like a pulled muscle in the pit of my stomach, it lasted a while and i was treated for a UTI but after 2 years the symptoms are worse! My new gp feels it could be endo and is hoping i will have a laparoscopy to see for sure!
I was sacked from my jon ( nhs) due to havig time ff with this illness and so it hasent been easy on me or the family! had to sell our home due to finances with me not working and i have totally lot faith in the so called experts now i keep praying that they will find out what it is and cure me but i am beginning to think that whatever it is is hear to stay!
my symptoms are mainly
bladder/kidney pain/discomfort
frequency of urination
hard to urinate/poor flow at times
sickness
bloated
ovary pain
sore periods
feeling confused and out of sorts
lightheaded
sore breats
at least 3 weeks of feeling poorly an dmaybe the odd 1 were i feel fine usually once bleeding has started!
spotting between periods
AnswerYou are correct on all of the above! All of your symptoms certainly sound like endo. Endo can creep into areas you could never imagine...a recent Endo Group I attended suggested that endo can even get into the lungs, limbs and of course stomach areas. With endo, you do not feel well, ever, you are fatigued, pained, bloated & lose the ability to concentrate in alot of instances. It's awful.
I am so glad you are seeing a Dr. and getting a lap done to really see what's going on. Hopefully this gyno is educated in endo. If you do not feel comfortable with this gyno, consider a high risk doctor who specializes in endo/fertility. You can also get on the Endo Research Center website, they have tons of advice and can also help direct you to someone in your area.
As I lived all those years with endo, I rarely felt well, maybe 4-5 days out of any given month, were good. Today, they can treat you to feel so much better!Best of luck to you and I hope you find relief!
You might also want to get onto the Endo Res Center site and let them know about your job situation...there has to be some help out there somewhere. Don't think alot of people understand the inconvenience and pain that endo can cause.
Thank you
