Cervical Pressure in Late Pregnancy: What to Expect

Hi, I'm 32 weeks pregnant on sunday, my due date isn't untill june 10th but my doctor is now saying she may come around may 20th- may 30th. I have this pressure on my cervix, it feels like i need to pee (only painful) and there is a lot of pressure like she (my baby) is pushing down on my cervix. does this mean that she dropped or is it something else?

What your feeling is normal.  Toward the end of pregnancy, your baby begins to nestle into your pelvis.  They may nestle far down into your pelvis and stay that way, or they may move down a little, back up a little, and down again until they are "engaged" or firmly in the pelvis.

That create some pretty intense pressure on your bladder which is right below the lower portion of your uterus.

Sounds like your having very normal third trimester discomfort.  She's getting ready, but no one can tell when.

Hang in there and try to take some comfort in knowing your baby girl is doing exactly what she's supposed to :)
