QuestionHi I'm about 6 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child, the date of my last period was 2 July, last night I went to the toilet and when I wiped there was light pink blood on the toilet paper, I had quite an upset stomach yesterday to, I think I went to the toilet about 4 or 5 times and not to wee! Anyway, I went to the Dr, he did an internal scan and sent me for blood tests this am, they came back and said I was about 4-5 weeks pregnant with the count being 564, but today whenever I go to the toilet there is a lot of blood, like I'm having a period, also cramps in lower back and tummy area - am I having a miscarriage, I am going on Sunday for some more tests to see if the count is rising but it's this waiting that killing me, could you just tell me what the chances are of me having a miscarriage so that I can prepare myself...
AnswerIt's possible that you are miscarrying, but it is also possible that you are not. It could go either way. Drink some milk; the extra calcium can block the oxytocin receptors in your uterus and ease your cramping. If you do not definitively miscarry within a week, request another ultrasound. If you can see the heartbeat, your chances of miscarriage will be much lower.
Good luck!
