Atypical Cells in Pelvic Fluid: Understanding the Implications

Question
During a laporoscopy to determine cause of abdominal pain, my daughter's surgeon discovered and aspirated pelvic fluid.  The fluid was determined to contain atypical cells.  Could you inform me of the implications of this and if it is dangerous?  Thank you

Answer
I would need to know a LOT more about those atypical cells to be able to give you a good answer. What kind of cells? How atypical? How old is your daughter? What kind of symptoms does she have? It MAY be serious but not necessarily so. Sorry I can not give you more at present! If you can give me more information I may be able to give you a better reply.
