Whether the pattern of treatment is right ?
Any alternate procedures are available for T2N1M0 stages ?

Question -
My mom is diagnosed for Breast cancer .Details as follows
Age - 52 ,Healthy
Stage - T2N1MO ( 4.5 X 4.8 SIZE TUMER)
Breast Carcinoma with Regional adenopathy. 5 number max axis 1.5 mm.No infilteration in to lungs and other areas.
Doctor says it as LABC ( Locally advance Breast cancer ) and treatment options
A. 4 numbers of Chemotherapy using "AC" ( Adriamycin and Cyclophosphamide ( three weeks apart)
Plus
Surgery
followed by
4 numbers of Chemotherapy using Taxol( paclitaxel)
plus
Radiation 6 weeks
B. Again he said an alterate optin as
4 numbers od Chemotherapy using AC
then
start radiation and Chemotherapy using Taxol together for 6 weeks. ( The total dose will be same as first option)
then surgery will do only if required .
Kindly advise which option is best from your expertise Plus advise any additional option to overcome this situation.

If it was my mother, I would suggest A.! B. only if surgery for some reason would be especially dangerous in any way in this case. Honestly I do not see any other options!
AnswerNo it is standard procedure and accepted everywhere. B. can be considered an option if surgery is not accepted for some reason, but given the size of your mother's cancer I MUST give you the advice that surgery should be included as well as radiation & chemo therapy. The possibility of (anti) hormonal therapy too should also be explored!
