Emergency Contraception & Birth Control Regimen - A Personal Experience

Hi there. I'm Alex. I'm 23 years old and I have been using Birthcontrol for 3 years now. I had an IUD till november 2011 then in January I got on the pills (mainly to regulate my period) and for protection of course. Everything's been fine till this past saturday I forgot about my pill cause I was outta town but sunday mourning I took it as soon as I remembered then I took the sunday pill at the regular time. Me and my hubby did have unprotEcted sex saturday but didn't have it again till tuesday. Been taking all the pills like usual and on time. Yesterday when I woke up and went to the restroom I noticed a little pink color on the toilete paper. Through the day it got barker. Now its a brownish color spotting. I'm not suposed to start my period till next thursday or friday. What could be wrong??

Sorry for the delay, did you find out anything yet? Did you start your period? I would think that when you missed the pill, your body didn't know what to do. That is just my opinion. There are hormones in the birth control pills, so that alters your natural cycle. Let me know what happened. You can email me at CHERYL51@aol.com
