Questionhi doctor.
i have recently had a surgical abortion (june 2nd) and have also recently started taking birth control pills (june 20th). tonight i had sex,and of course, the condom broke. luckily, he pulled out just in time. i am still very worried however of pre ejaculation, and how effective my birth control pills are up to this point. so i went to the pharmacy to inquire and she told me i should be fine as the pills take effect after 7 days (what she doesn't know is the abortion story)so now i'm asking you. should plan b be an option? if not, what do i do from here on out? (besides no sex?)
thank you for your time.
AnswerHi Molly,
I don't recommend Plan B because I read an article on http://www.optionline.org/map.html
Plan B is comparable to the Morning after pill so read that article.
I think with the birth control pills, you should be ok but of course, I can't guarantee that.
Is there a reason that you don't want to have your baby if you were pregnant and why did you have your abortion?
I really can't recommend a birth control method that is hormonal. The only 2 that are not are Natural Family Planning and condoms. Can you refrain from sex (as you said) until you were married?
