Delayed Period on Ortho-TriCyclen: Causes & What to Do

Hello,
I am currently taking ortho-tricyclen lo and have been for about 6 months.  I am on my fourth day of placebo pills and still have not gotten my period.  I have never missed a period before.  However, last week I started to get the symptoms of my period, cramps and bloating.  Now, those symptoms have gone away and I haven't gotten my period.  Also, I had sex on the day after my last active pill.  Could I be pregnant or is it normal to sometimes miss a period while on the pill?

No birth control is 100%.  It is certainly possible to get pregnant while on the pill.  However, not on the last day of your active pills.  If you did, it was probably an earlier experience.

There is no way I can tell you if you are or are not pregnant.  You will have to go get a pregnancy test.
