Understanding Fetal Movement in Early Pregnancy: What to Expect

this is my first pregnancy and i am going through 22 or 23 week gestation. I am not quite sure what baby movent is like... i only feel something like a heart beat inside the belly.its nothing like flutters or kicks etc. is this what movement is called or the pregnant women do feel the baby moving here and there actually?

It is hard to describe fetal movements as the perception varies from one woman to an other depending on weight, abdominal wall status, time of the day..etc. In fact, it is quite normal not to feel movements up to 20 weeks and even more with obese women. The best thing to do is to have an ultrasound to make sure that your baby is Ok.

Perception of what a fetal movement is, would take some time and will be much with progression of pregnancy.
