Understanding Green and Hard Stool in Toddlers: Potential Causes & Concerns

Hello, doctpr, my question is . I ahve a 15 month son who had problems with acid reflux and lactose intolarance.he is not under any medications right now, but i concerned about his fezes, because their are often very grren and often hard. What can that be? And now he's being having enormous pain and I don't what can that be. please any thoughts?

First may I start out by saying I am not a doctor.  

You may want to make sure your child is drinking enough fluid and eating enough vegetables and fruits.  If the problem continues with the hard stools you may want to consult his pediatrician for something to help soften the stool.  Hard stools can cause gas and this can be very painful.  There are over the counter remedies but I would consult with a pharmacist for what you should use.
