Questioni am 25 years old and i was on the pill only briefly in an effort to have a regular menstrual cycle. the pills were not needed to prevent pregnancy as i do not ovulate. i was on a 21 day pack, so on the eight day of my period i began taking them again, but for only two days, b/c we decided we wanted to get pregnant. but since then i have been spotting. any idea why?
AnswerIf you do not ovulate, you cannot get pregnant. The pill doesn't really regulate your cycle, except just temporily by forcing a pattern onto your body.
If you stop taking the pills in the beginning, middle or prior to the end of a pack, you will bring on spotting and irregularities while your normal pattern re-establishes itself.
