QuestionIs it true that you can possibly get a yeast infection from not drinking enough water? I heard that from an online doctor. Also, is it safe for my body to stop using my birth control, Orthro Tri-Cylcen Lo, just cold turkey? Because I have been on it for almost 2 years and I just don't want to take it anymore. But I didn't know if it would cause health problems like crazy period or missed period or what?
AnswerHi Rebecca,
I found this article about water-

Then I also found an article online about other causes of yeast infections. Here it is:

I'm not a doctor so I suggest you ask him or her. I like your decision about going off birth control pills. Why are you going off?
Here's an article I found on the internet about going off the pill.
"You might, but the symptoms vary depending on the specific hormone combo in your oral contraceptive. "Some ex-Pill users report nausea, spotting, breast tenderness, and mood swings during the one to three months it takes the body to produce its own hormones again," explains Adelaide Nardone, an ob-gyn at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence and medical adviser to the Vagisil Women's Health Center. Any side effect that lasts longer than three months, however, should be brought to the attention of your gyno."
I don't know any way of going off the pill except cold turkey. I would think that you would probably want to finish off a cycle and then quit. But as I said, please ask your doctor.
