QuestionI'm on the Cilest pill and have been on it over 4 months.
This month at the beginning I was sick 3 times in 1 night and I keep feeling sick to my stomach now and then. On the day I threw up I felt sick but hungry at the same time but didn't know what to do. So I grabbed something quickly a chocolate bar then threw up 10-20 minutes later.
I do have unprotected sex with my boyfriend but ever since this happen he has pulled out.
I do take my pill at different times of the days.
Could I be pregnant or could it just be a side effect?
If it was a side effect wouldn't I be throwing up more often.
I have my 7day break soon but I was just wondering could there be a chance I could be pregnant?
AnswerHi Katie,
Thanks for your question. It's hard to tell from what you are saying if you were sick from pregnancy or from a virus or flu. Even if your boyfriend "pulls out" you could still have sperm going into your vagina and you could get pregnant. There is no 100% safe method of birth control but abstinence. Also, you should take your birth control pill at the same time every day. I don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control methods, which includes the pill and other methods. I don't feel that it is healthy for us, as women, to put hormones into our bodies. Please consult your physician about your questions.
