Gynera and Sex During Period: Safety and Dosage Information

Hi,

I started taking Gynera on the 2nd day of my period instead of the first and also had sex on the same day.

Am I still safe?

Also, for the next pack, do I take a 7-day break or just 6? due to the missed 1st day.

If you're just starting out taking Gynera, it's recommended that you use a backup method for the first week unless you start on the first day of your period.  You're not likely to get pregnant, but it's possible.  If you've been taking Gynera for a while, the important thing is that you not go more than 7 days without taking active pills.  In that case, the important thing is how many days between pills, rather than when your period starts.  For the next pack, you could take a 6 day break if you wanted to get back to the same start day.  The main thing is to not go more than 7 days without a pill, then you're protected.  I hope I've answered your question.
