Using Birth Control Pills to Regulate Your Period: What to Do
QuestionI'm on the pill Mirelle, but im using it to regulate my period. This is my first time. I've had my period for about 16 days straight. I was wondering am I suppose to take the 28 pills in the packet or take just 21 and let my period start on the 22-28 days?
AnswerJonelle,
If there are 28 pills, then probably the last few pills are placebo pills but still need to be taken. But I would advise you to ask your doctor or read the instructions on the pill pack. I'm not a medical professional.
In general, I don't advise to take the birth control pills or any kind of hormonal birth control methods. Please try to find another method. I don't believe the hormones are healthy for a woman's body. Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com so we can talk more. Having your period for 16 days straight could be very dangerous. Check with your doctor.
