Emergency Contraception & Post-Pill Symptoms: What To Do

Question
I stopped taking my birth control w/ 2 active pills left in the pack. Was for personal reasons. My husband & I had unprotected sex that night and the following. I never took any pills after that, I had thrown them out. (I was only taking the pill for barely 2 months) A few days later I had light bleeding, no cramps or anything. And about 2 weeks later I was really sick to my stomach & not sleeping well and have been having white discharge pretty much every day since I stopped the pill. I took a test this last Monday which would've been 3 weeks after we had the sex and it was negative. Was told that that was probably too early to test though. Could I be pregnant?

Answer
A pregnancy test (first morning urine) will usually be positive by 2 weeks after conception, and will always be positive by 3 weeks.  I think you're not pregnant.  The feelings of nausea may be due to your estrogen hormones, which are rising now that you're off the pill and your ovaries are working again.
