Birth Control Side Effects & Missed Periods: What to Do?
QuestionHi,
I have been on a roller coaster ride for bc trying to find one that doesn't make me crazy. Tried an IUD, pulled it out after a month, went back on the pill, then switched to nuvaring, then couldn't afford nuvaring one month so took sample pack of birth control pill (missed two pills and had sex once during fertile time). So now no period and feel pregnant. Took test on day 26 and it was negative. Now day 29. Could I have fake pregnancy symptoms due to a hormone imbalance? Is it wise to skip all birth control now and let my cycle alone without nuvaring or pills?
AnswerDear Kay,
Yes, I would advise you to go off of all birth control if that is an option. I don't usually recommend hormonal birth control methods anyway. Because of health reasons. If you let your cycle get back to normal, you will be much healthier (in my opinion). However, what if you are pregnant? Let me know what is happening. You can email me personally at CHERYL51@aol.com and put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line of your email. Waiting to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
