Vaginal Cut During Intercourse: Symptoms, Causes & What to Do
Questionthis is a little embarassing but my boyfriend and i were recently engaging in intercourse, and during foreplay he cut the inside of my vagina with his nail. i did notice a sharp pain but it was only for a second so i didnt pay it any mind. when i got home i noticed there was blood on my panties and with a mirror i inspected my vagina and noticed a cut on the inside. i am not sure what to do as i keep seeing different answers from different people online. it burns to pee, and some websites have been saying to put creams or petroleum jelly on it to stop the burning, but i dont want to put anything foreign in my vagina and make it worse. please note that this cut is actually inside my vagina and not on the outside.
AnswerMost such cuts inside the vagina will heal well without doing anything. The safest thing you can do is to sit in water with epsom salts, which will be soothing and healing, and let nature take its course. If you have much burning from urine touching the area, it's safe to put petroleum jelly on the area to prevent urine contact.
