Dry, Sore Nose in Winter: Causes & Relief - Expert Advice

In the winter the inside of my nose gets very dry and tends to be very sore.  The skin around the edge becomes cracked and I think it's also cracked inside.  I have used neosporin and that helps considerably, however, I read that one should not use lotions or creams in your nose as it gets into your lungs and builds up over time.  Is there something better or am I worrying over nothing.

well your doing the right thing,with neosporin,do to the fact i have to use it as well. and it was told to me from my own doctor.

now,maybe there another reason your nose is getting this way.are you on any medications or vitamins right now?

maybe a change in soap?
anything which could cause this dryness to your nasal area?
