QuestionQUESTION: A friend of mine is four and a half months pregnant and in a terrible situation.
She wants to get an abortion, but was told by a doctor that four and a half months is too late (in general, not just for her; she has no medical problems).
This seems unlikely to me. All of the debate about late-term abortion seemed to me to imply that there could be abortions in the seventh or eighth mont.
Is it true that it is difficult to get an abortion at four and a half months? Won't abortion clinics do them?
Many thanks,
Betty
ANSWER: Hi Betty :)
It really depends where you are. And it's really unfortunate, but it's true. Anti-choice assholes have done and are doing everything in their power to place more and more restrictions. It's really difficult to find a doctor, and usually late terms now are done with severe fetal deformities/mother's health. However, I really would think there'd be a doctor who'd do a 4.5 month abortion...Still second trimester. If you want resources, just message back. I hope your friend is able to get the procedure done, it just might take some searching.

QUESTION: Many thanks. My friend would very much like possible resources for a four and a half month abortion.

AnswerThis is a link to locate abortion clinics:
http://www.gynpages.com/
And this is planned parenthood's website, so you could search for planned parenthoods and the results show what services each center offers
http://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-center/findCenter.asp
I hope that helps, if not let me know!
