Understanding Plan B After Abortion and Subsequent Pregnancies

Question
I got an abortion done 13th of November of 2007. About an month later I had sex but condom ripped. So I believe he fully ejaculated inside of me. So I took plan B. I bled about three days later for three days, and somehow it became heavy flow during the third day just like my period. Anyway, we used condom for sex we had afterwards. But, about week or two weeks later, we had another emergency. So I took it again. I know this is horribly bad for my body but it was total emergency. I believe I took that pill around beginning of January. Both times I took the pill in one hour after intercourse. Now that it is end of January, my period is not coming. My breasts were getting sore slowly starting two weeks ago and now its getting more sore. Besides that I do not have any symptoms. Is this because of the pill or can I be pregnant again. I mean there are always possibilities of pregnancy but I am wondering how pill can affect my body. If I do take pregnancy test, can it come out to be positive if I am not pregnant because of the pregnancy hormone? Also how bad is it to take more than one Plan B during one cycle?

Thank you.

Answer
Hello Hanna,

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical doctor so I just wanted to let you know that. I suggest that you call 1-800-395-HELP or go online to http://www.optionline.org to find a free pregnancy resource center. They have some information about the Plan B pill on there.
You could talk to someone to let you know when you could take a reliable pregnancy test. Yes, I agree with you that it is probably not the best thing to do to take Plan B again. Since you have many questions, I would like you to email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com so we can talk by email. So hope to hear from you soon and let me know if you do get help at the pregnancy resource center.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
