QuestionQUESTION: Hi I began a medical abortion Monday/21 second dose of second meds were taken on Wednesday 7/23. after severe cramping and 8 hours later I expelled my embryo. I was feeling much better mild cramping until today Saturday 7/26 all of a sudden felt some severe cramping was doubled over in pain took 800 mg of ibuprofen with mild relief had to take a warm bath seemed to help a bit. Not sure why these severe cramps returned 3 days after expelling embryo. Is this normal or can there be something more serious going on? some type of infection maybe.

I am going to keep this brief. You asked if you might have an infection. IF you used the second meds vaginally, get yourself down to the emergency room IMMEDIATELY. Tell the doctors to look for the possibility of toxic shock syndrome! That can kill within hours, and most of the time, doctors have no clue, so there is no time to figure out what is wrong before it kills a woman. Please know that the second medication is being taken off label. The manufacturer knows it is dangerous to use during pregnancy, for any reason.

QUESTION: yes I took the second meds Vaginally. I was under the assumption that TSS involved fever I have not had any fever at all. I feel pretty good now. Hopefully I won't die overnight and I will call the Dr.in the morning. If the cramps come back, then I will go to the ER

I don't know why doctors insist on taking those kinds of risks with women's lives. Makes me angry.
I was going to get some info on whether or not TSS involves fever, but my attempt to search crashed my browser twice, so I gave up. I would imagine there would be fever involved. Go get a good night's rest. You'll be in my prayers.
