QUESTION: What happens to the baby during a D&C, what does the baby look like at 7 weeks and 4 days.? Does it have a shape or toes.?
AnswerIf you have a new pregnancy you are only 2-4 weeks. So it is not a continuing pregnancy but a new one. You can ovulate within 2-4 days after an abortion. The bleeding you are experiencing is more likely due to having sex. I have patients perform a pregnancy test as one way of making a diagnosis. A negative tests means the bleeding is just due to having sex. It could also be due to infection such as chlamydia.
