QuestionQUESTION: Hi Doctor,
I had a medical abortion on 11th feb 2009 and the next
period came in on 2nd april, 2009. It was pretty heavy but
manageable. I did go for TVS twice and they ruled out any
leftovers. However on 22nd apr again i started having
blackish spotting for 4-5 days. What is it doctor?
ANSWER: Dear Roshni,
Dark bleeding is common and normal for months after a medical abortion. It is common for spotting and bleeding to come and go. Dark blood only indicates that the blood sat in the uterus before it came down, and does not indicate any problem. There is nothing to be concerned about.

QUESTION: Hi Doctor,
Thanks a ton for your answer. Would like to ask that can i
get pregnant even if my husband doesnt enter me or
ejaculate on the vulva but rubs against my private parts?
Also would like to ask that what is my probably date of
ovulation given the date details ??
AnswerDear Roshni,
It is possible but extremely unlikely that you could get pregnant as you describe. If he enters you but does not ejaculate, you can theoretically get pregnant. If he ejaculates outside of your vagina but near it, you can theoretically get pregnant. However, it seems extremely unlikely that you could get pregnant by just rubbing outside the vagina. All of this sounds, though, like you might benefit by considering another form of birth control. There is no reliable way to know the date of ovulation after an abortion.
