Answer
Hi, Angela,

People can't predict what might happen to you in particular. However, there are statistical likelihoods. I will go into that, and then apply them to what might be your situation.

It is good that you are among the women who are becoming aware of the dangers of abortion.

The statistics show that after three surgical abortions, half the women will never conceive again. The medical abortion hasn't been used long enough to have this kind of statistics for it. Basically, we have a population of guinea pigs. Nobody knows what effect it will have on future fertility. The best I can tell you is that in medical abortion, the second medication is being used off label. That means that the manufacturer warns against using it in pregnant women. There are two major reasons for this. The first is that it can cause contractions so severe they can rupture the uterus. I don't have to tell you this is dangerous. The second reason is that if they are used "improperly", they can cause toxic shock syndrome, which can kill in hours.

Getting to the breast cancer question, it is known that abortion is a major risk factor for breast cancer. This virulent type tends to hit in a woman's 40's, although it can hit as early as a woman's 20's, and it kills 1/4 of its victims. The reason for this, is because as a pregnancy develops, the breast cells undergo changes as they begin to grow. In early pregnancy, with the increased hormone levels, they enter a particularly vulnerable state. If they are allowed to mature, they will get past that point and become more stable. And the baby sends stem cells into his or her mother's bloodstream, and some of them remain near the breasts, where they offer additional protection. In addition, if the mother breastfeeds, this also offers more protection. But for a woman who aborts her first pregnancy and has a history of breast cancer in her family, the studies show that she will get it. 100% guaranteed.

Your baby is also sending stem cells to your brain, where they will stay. In a surgical abortion, the pain for the baby is excruciating. And the body releases chemicals when this happens, and these would also be in the released stem cells, and at the time of abortion, a lot of them are released. So the mother will have stem cells with pain chemicals in her brain. This is one reason, I think, why so many women suffer from post abortion stress syndrome. Even women who don't admit it may be experiencing silent grief.

Getting back to the question of having children in the future, I should also point out that from any abortion that forces open the cervix, a woman runs a 400% greater risk of miscarriage or very premature birth. Very premature birth is a leading cause of cerebral palsy in the baby, and just about doubles the chances. So it's not just not conceiving in the first place, but being unable to have a normal pregnancy. This is why when you become pregnant, you should tell your doctor about your prior abortions, because he can watch for signs of trouble and take preventative steps. In addition, surgical abortion can leave scar tissue over the opening of the Fallopian tubes. There can be a hole large enough to admit sperm, but the egg can't get through. This results in tubal pregnancy. This is a death sentence for the baby and life threatening for the mother; it requires emergency surgery. Finally, abortion can make childbirth more risky. It can prolong labor. It can also cause placenta previa. This is when the placenta can't find a place to attach higher in the uterus because of scar tissue, so it attaches in or near the cervix. This threatens the life of both mother and child because it can pull loose during labor and cause hemorrhage. If a woman has placenta previa, a Caesarian may be necessary. Caesarian section is the leading cause of death in birthing mothers.

On average, from the medical literature, the incidence of permanent damage to a woman's reproductive system is more than 1/3 of all women. And that's not even counting breast cancer.

Medical abortion also often causes prolonged heavy bleeding, which is very bad for a woman, and can be life-threatening. I get a lot of messages from women here who are suffering this consequence.

Our bodies were designed to protect our children. The only way an abortion can be done is to harm us in some way. And many abortionists are careless. And they often re-use disposable instruments or fail to sterilize them properly, and often their facilities are filthy. Any doctor who would use the second course of medication on a pregnant woman should be charged with unethical conduct and malpractice. In addition, there is a heightened all-cause risk from abortion during the year following. It can result in the woman experiencing a violent death, whether through suicide, carelessness (such as in an auto accident), drinking, using drugs, or promiscuity. This risk is heightened for eight years. And in addition, a woman can get a sexually transmitted disease or even HIV from the abortion itself because of lack of sterile conditions. In some cases, abortionists who have HIV are being permitted to do abortions, with the full knowledge of the staff and owners. And I haven't even talked about the immediate complications, which can also cause death, paralysis, or coma. This isn't something you should be doing. Seriously.

It has also been learned that when a woman gets into a cycle of abortion like this, the only ways she will get out of that cycle will either be to become sterile, stop having sex, or carry a baby to term. I urge you to carry this baby, and put an end to this. You are too precious to be taking these kinds of chances with your body. You deserve better. You are right to be scared. Consider yourself warned. Please stay safe!
